Mathilda, Superwitch by Kristen Ashley

mathilda superwitch

Mathilda got a trick for Halloween this year. Her aunt told her she’s actually a wand-wielding witch, with powers and everything, from a long line of witches apparently. Now Mathilda has to figure out how to use these powers and start her own journal to continue the Honeycutt legacy.  But unless they can get designer label fashions or pick the right guy, Mathilda’s kinda not interested.

Adding to the drama of Mathilda’s work issues with a co-worker and perfect accessorizing, Mathilda now has to contend with choosing between Sebastian and Aidan, two hotties ‘in the life’, learning the craft and writing in that journal thing. What is up with a powerful nemesis, chock full of dirty tricks? As if that wasn’t enough, she’s also go to save the world … in an ugly dress.

Though humorous this reader was annoyed by several things. Such as the missing words game. It annoyed. So did the nothings jotted in the journal. For this reader’s taste, the piddly scribbles in ‘Dear Diary’ form didn’t move the thinly drawn characters from their intro. In the end, this reader was at a loss about what else excited our one dimensional heroine. I don’t believe it! A KA book I didn’t love by the end.
