Instant Attraction by Jill Shalvis

instant attraction

Katie Kramer and Cameron Wilder are both learning to live their lives after traumatic events and cope with things differently. Katie’s approach to life after a death thwarting accident is to live life ‘balls out’ whether she’s got the goods or not! Loading her car heading in the direction with the least amount of traffic she finds temporary lodging and work at Wilder’s adventures near Wishful, Nevada.

Former winter sports champion Cam has just returned from a year of no contact with his family, a longing to enjoy winter sports the way he always had and a bad knew that constantly reminds him of his career ending accident and the knowledge he won’t be able to snowboard and ski the way he once did. He’s still withdrawn and cautious.

This tale is definitely Katie and Cam’s and their plausibly realistic, sweet romance is easy to believe with their almost palpable chemistry and funny moments. The secondary characters, Cam’s brothers, aunt, their friend Nick add plenty of color and fun to the read while the pages go quickly and the couple naturally help each other through the rough spots, carry each others baggage and fall in love.

A good foundation for this new trilogy and very fitting for this author’s oeuvre of fun beach or lazy afternoon reads.
