Stars & Stripes by Abigail Roux

Tigers in Texas! Who’d’a thunk it would be such a great idea? Humor is a funny thing, it’s even downright tricky but for this reader’s taste he author got it just right for my favorite outing of the series. It was definitely a quotable, laugh out loud read and it’s hard to review without spoiling it. The bottom line is though the boys find a dangerous case to work, it was incidental. This was all about Zane and Ty!

Ty and Zane are almost in a state of euphoria. They have a happy medium to deal with work, home and their relationship is working great and they even have a few friends they don’t have to hide from. Ty calmed Zane’s fears and suggested they tell since Zane was too important to hide. A hilarious call triggers a mostly funny visit with Ty’s family and ends with unexpected but welcome results.

Zane gets a call that puts him in the bosom of his family in Texas. This first time visit to the Garrett’s makes it easy to understand why Zane doesn’t go home often though his dad is so adorable you want to eat him up and his sister’s nice too. On the other hand his mom should maybe be coated with honey and left for the bears but she might give them indigestion.

Sleeping alone and Zane missage brings Ty to the land of horses, cattle and Stetson’s. Since the authorities haven’t made headway on who hurt Zane’s dad, the boys look into it and fall into a federal case. A visit to the big cat sanctuary has Ty making friends with a Bengal named Barnum though he never got friendly with the horses he couldn’t stop calling ‘Elmer’ or glue stick.

Cowboy Zane’s personal Texas sexiness couldn’t stop leaking much to Ty’s appreciation. The quips, jokes, rejoinders and smart a** answers were quick and plentiful and kept this reader laughing way out loud! The boys have learned how to be a couple and are looking forward to an even deeper relationship tomorrow. For them everything is looking bright!
