Lone Star Lycan by Regina Carlysle

With her mother and step-father dead there was no one to rail against but Quinn Harlow could go to Wolf Creek ranch and try to find out about Bart Fitzpatrick. Too bad she didn’t know he’d been looking for her and wanted to fulfill his role as her father, even though he was dead she could hold onto being wanted. But when foreman Joe McKinnon scents Quinn’s arrival he will not deny his destined mate.

Walking from the grave-site both Joe and Quinn were exceeding aware of their attraction as Joe talked about his relationship with Bart. Quinn’s was aware of her heightened intuition. What she didn’t know is Bart was and Joe is wolf or why Bart left the ranch to her and Joe jointly or that he was the new Alpha. She wasn’t ready for those answers but it didn’t stop him from doing his part for their mate claim.

What else happened? Well there was the matter of the exes that didn’t want to be ex, there was definitely insta-lust and plenty of great sex. For my taste this outing was more structured and more appealing than its predecessor. Also the only association between the reads was the townsfolk and ranch hands had been previously introduced. This enjoyable and lusty read goes pretty quickly through a sitting.
